Ten teenagers from Michigan were all injured after the van they were traveling in flipped on an Ohio freeway while the group was on their way back from Cedar Point in the early morning hours of August 9.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the 17-year-old driver from Howell, Jenna L. Halonen, was trying to switch seats with another passenger while the vehicle was still in motion when the accident occurred around 1:11 a.m..

Police say Halonen lost control of the 2003 Chevrolet Express Van, causing it to strike the median and roll. Two of the passengers, 16-year-old Lilley Kastamo and 16-year-old Elie Kastamo, were ejected during the crash.

All of the teens ages 15 to 17 years old were taken to the hospital.

Police say the two ejected teens were seriously injured, while the rest of the group sustained minor injuries.

The crash remains under the investigation.
