MENTOR, Ohio — A 26-year-old man was killed in a crash caused by a fallen tree that occurred in Mentor Sunday morning, according to the Mentor Police Department.
Around 11:38 a.m., officers responded to a crash on Lakeshore Boulevard east of Heather Hill Drive.
Once on scene, officers learned that a large tree had fallen across the roadway, striking two vehicles.
A 51-year-old man driving a 2014 Ford F150 sustained moderate injuries, police said.
A 26-year-old man, later identified as Valentino Panic, driving a 2016 Ford F250 sustained fatal injuries as a result of the fallen tree, according to police.
