One man was injured and another arrested after an assault incident outside of Joey's Italian Grill.
Madison Township police said around 3 p.m. Wednesday, officers and the Madison Fire District were dispatched to the parking lot of Joey's Italian Grill, located at 2731 Hubbard Rd., for a report of a felonious assault.
When officers and fire officials arrived, they learned two men were approached in the parking lot and threatened with a weapon. One victim, 24, was injured after being struck on the head with the weapon. The other victim and the suspect, a man in his late 20's, both fled the area.
The injured man was taken to Lake Hospital Madison Emergency Department by the fire district.
With help from the Painesville Police Department, a 27-year-old suspect was arrested. He will be arraigned in Painesville Municipal Court for felonious assault and other charges.
