A baby bird has been stolen from a Willoughby pet shop and its life could be in danger.

Willoughby police say the bird was taken from Pet Paradise on Euclid Avenue around noon on Saturday when three men distracted the clerk, allowing a fourth person to steal it.

Three of the suspects are in their 20s and the fourth is older, according to police.

The bird, a Pineapple Green-Cheek Conure, is a baby and must be hand-fed or it will die. The bird is valued at $329.

Anyone with information on the suspects or the whereabouts of the bird is asked to call Willoughby police at 440-953-4212.
