PAINESVILLE, Ohio — An emergency water main break has closed the intersection of Richmond and Chester streets in Painesville on Monday, according to the City of Painesville.
The intersection is temporarily closed as crews work to repair the break.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
As of 9:15 a.m., most of Painesville should have normal water pressure with the exception being Chester Street near the intersection. There is no boil alert for this outage.
Residents who experience any discoloration or air gaps can let their faucets run a few minutes to clear the property lines.
Crews are working now with an estimated time frame of one hour. Those in the local area (Chester Street) may experience a longer outage.
