A man who police say admitted to taking LSD ran across a Mentor freeway while fleeing from officers last week.
Police responded to State Route 2 near Hendricks Road Friday around 11:15 p.m. for a report of a man running along the freeway.
When police arrived, 22-year-old Ryan Swoope of Painesville allegedly started cursing at officers and making "obscene gestures."
He then ran across three lanes of traffic, forcing cars on the road to stop.
Officers ordered Swoope to the ground but instead he charged at them, police said.
When they threatened him with a Taser, he finally complied.
Police say Swoope told them he took LSD and was on the freeway to "be with officers."
