MENTOR-ON-THE-LAKE, Ohio — Mentor-on-the-Lake police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide that occurred on Linden Street.
Officers were called to the address on Linden Street to conduct a welfare check. Officers decided to enter the home after their arrival, police said.
Once inside of the home, officers discovered the bodies of a 51-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man, according to police.
Police said that a preliminary investigation suggests a murder-suicide.
The incident is currently under investigation.
Names of the 51-year-old woman and 64-year-old man are being withheld pending family notification.
Police said no further information is being released at this time but an update is expected Monday.
