A six-month-long drug trafficking investigation in Lake County led to the arrest of a Fairport Harbor resident on Friday.

LaDonta A. Bolden, 24, of Fairport Harbor, was charged with possession of drugs and possession of criminal tools.

Officers from the Lake County Narcotics Agency, Fairport Harbor Police Department and deputies from the Lake County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at a residence on the 430 block of King Street Friday morning. The investigation started when authorities received tips regarding drug activity at the home.

Crack cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, two firearms and cash were seized during the raid. Authorities said the drugs had a street value of around $2,500.

Additional charges against Bolden are pending, authorities said.

The Painesville Police Department, Lake County Prosecutor's Office and Lake County Crime Lab also assisted with the investigation.
