LAKE COUNTY, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Transportation reduced the speed limit on I-90 in Lake County Thursday in an effort to curb pileups and accidents during bad weather.
Speeds have been lowered on the I-90 Lake Effect Corridor due to low visibility and heavy snowfall coating roads. We have 47 crews out on the road across extreme NE Ohio. Please give them plenty of room to work. #ODOTwinter pic.twitter.com/Xv14ILDK5X

The speed limit will be reduced to 50 mph between State Route 409 and State Route 528.
There are digital signs in place along I-90, which allows ODOT to change the signs whenever weather causes road conditions to become dangerous for drivers.
