PAINESVILLE, Ohio — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in Painesville Saturday afternoon.
Around 1:42 p.m., Painesville police offers were called to the 500 block of Lawnview Avenue after receiving a report of a shooting.
Once on scene, officers located a 24-year-old man who had been shot in the abdomen, police said.
The man was transported to TriPoint Medical Center by EMS, according to police. He was later transferred to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center, but his condition is unknown.
Police have not identified a suspect, or suspects, at this time. The shooting remains under investigation.
