PAINESVILLE, Ohio — The Painesville Police Department is investigating a serious crash.
The crash happened around 4:45 a.m. at the intersection of Richmond and Sanford streets.
Police said the driver of one of the vehicles was ejected and suffered serious injuries. A passenger in the same vehicle also suffered injuries. Both of them were transported to the hospital.
The driver and passenger of the other vehicle involved suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital.
While the accident is still under investigation, police believe speed and alcohol played a role in the crash.
