Statewide alert issued for missing 69-year-old Mentor man with dementia who didn't return home

MENTOR, Ohio — The Lake County Sheriff's Office has issued an Endangered Missing Adult Alert for a Mentor man last seen on Wednesday.

Authorities said Dwight Swanson drove away from his residence on Broadmoor Road in Mentor around 3 p.m. on Wednesday and never returned.

Swanson has dementia and authorities are concerned for his safety. Swanson is 69 years old with black hair and brown eyes, weighing 170 pounds, authorities said.

The vehicle he drove away in is a black 2006 Chevy Cobalt with Ohio plate number HNN8981.
