Excessive window tint proved to be a wanted criminal's ticket to jail after he was pulled over for a routine traffic stop in Mentor on Wednesday.
According to police, 40-year-old Royce Norvell of Garfield Heights was pulled over after police noticed the illegal degree of tint on his windows.
Norvell was wanted on a felony warrant out of the Lake County Sheriff's Office for burglary. He was also out on bond for allegedly stealing the wheels off of a car at a Mentor dealership, according to police.
When authorities searched his car they found a handgun hidden in the engine compartment.
Norvell was charged with having weapons under disability, possession of marijuana and illegal window tint.
