Three people have been arrested following a violent home invasion in Painesville Township.

A resident living in the 1700 block of Mentor Avenue reported that on July 6, around 4:50 a.m., two men entered his bedroom and brandished a firearm.

The resident told police he was in "fear for his life" after one of the men pointed a black firearm at him. He told police he heard a "click" come from the weapon.

The men terrorized the resident by covering his head with a blanket that was retrieved from the resident's bedroom, and they hit him with a firearm, according to a police report.

A firearm was then placed at his rib cage while one of the men stole his wallet from the pants he was wearing. The men then stole two additional wallets that had around $800 inside of them, a gold nugget ring, a cell phone and an Apple laptop computer, according to police.

The suspects fled the residence in an unknown direction. After an investigation and search by the Lake County Sheriff's Office Detective Bureau, Jeffrey Bynes, Manson Bryant and Lindsey Medina were arrested on July 12. Bryant and Bynes were charged with aggravated robbery and kidnapping, and Medina was charged with complicity to aggravated robbery.

Police recovered the gun used in the robbery.
