Police said the unknown man walked into the bank on Som Center Road on Monday around 2:24 p.m. wearing a motorcycle helmet that he refused to take off. An employee told police he walked up to the tellers and demanded all of the cash from the teller drawer. He threatened to douse the tellers and the bank in gasoline, police said.

The teller gave the suspect an unknown amount of cash, and then the suspect ran out of the building, according to police. He was seen running across Som Center Road in the area of Halle Drive. A witness told police the suspect left the area in a white Lexus sedan. According to officers, several police units saw the suspect vehicle speeding westbound on Euclid Avenue into the City of Euclid.

No bank employees were injured during the incident.
