ELYRIA, Ohio — A 17-year-old boy has died after being shot in the face in Elyria.
The shooting happened around 8:45 a.m. in the 110 block of Furnace Street.
Police said life-saving measures were used on the teen, but he died at the scene.
Another 17-year-old boy at the scene has been charged with tampering with evidence with a gun specification, according to police.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges against the teen are possible.
The teen was taken to the Lorain County Juvenile Detention Home, where he will be held pending a hearing in juvenile court.
