Two people are dead after a crash in Oberlin, Ohio State Highway Patrol reports.
The crash was on U.S. Route 20 near state Route 58.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said that a 2007 Chevy Aveo traveled left of center and collided with a 2011 Ford Edge. Two occupants in the Aveo — Leon Clowtis, 63, and Susan Clowtis, 59 — were pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of the Edge was extricated from the car and taken by medical helicopter to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center. His condition has not been released.
Both eastbound and westbound lanes were shut down between state Route 58 and state Route 511.
