Police are investigating another report of an incident involving a suspicious man the same day as three girls reported that a man had approached them in Lorain.
According to a police report, a girl told her parents that she was in her bedroom at her home on West 9th Street getting ready for school Thursday when she looked out her window and saw someone standing in her driveway.
She turned off her bedroom light so she could see more clearly and observed the man either zipping or unzipping his pants, the report states.
The girl said the man took off when he realized that she saw him.
He then got in his car and fled westbound on West 9th Street, according to the report.
When the girl got home from school, she told her mom what happened. The mom realized that the incident could be related to three other incidents in which a man approached young girls while they were headed to school in Lorain Thursday.
"Right now we are linking it, " said Lorain Det. Sgt. Buddy Sivert. "It's very alarming and we are concerned," added Sivert.
The girl said the man was wearing all dark baggy clothing and a ski mask. That description is similar one the other girls gave police.
A 10-year-old girl in Elyria also reported Thursday that she woke up to a man trying to pull her out of her bedroom window by her legs while she was sleeping.
"It's very brazen, it's very scary," said Elyria Police Captain Chris Constantino. Lorain and Elyria police departments are meeting to determine if all the incidents are related.
"He's desperate and very dangerous, added Constantino.
Police are investigating to determine whether all the incidents are related.
The FBI is involved in helping both police departments.
