Authorities looking for third suspect in Elyria homicide

Authorities have announced a third suspect wanted in connection with the homicide of a 20-year-old man who was fatally shot last week.

Elyria police detectives and the U.S. Marshals Service are asking for the public's help in locating 23-year-old Larry E. Hamilton Jr, of Lorain. Hamilton is wanted on aggravated robbery charges.  

At around 6 p.m. on Oct. 1, authorities were called to the 1400 block of West River Road for a shots-fired call. Officers said that when they arrived, they found 20-year-old Zachary Mason lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to his torso. Mason was taken to a nearby hospital and died from his injuries shortly after arrival.

Two suspects were later arrested on aggravated robbery charges relating to the homicide. Police said additional charges may be forthcoming.
