Debra Majkut and her baby were on their couch in 2015 when a car crashed through their Amherst Township home and landed on them, killing Debra and critically injuring her baby.

Now, the woman responsible for Debra's death is looking for early release from prison.

Adrianna Young was sentenced to four and a half years and charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and possession of marijuana.

After serving just six months, Young wants a Lorain County judge to grant her early release.

That move has brought back painful memories for Debra's husband James Majkut.

Majkut wants people who support him to write letters to Judge James Miraldi, urging the judge to make Young serve her entire sentence.

Judge Miraldi’s bailiff said the judge does take letters into consideration.

"I should have enough letters from the community, family and friends to just stand beside me and behind me saying that it would be nice to see her do her full sentence. You are not rehabilitated after six months," Majkut said.

Young is expected to be in court on January 4.

Majkut said he will be attending Young’s hearing.
