The combination of fire and mulch sent a playground up in flames at an elementary school in Lorain Tuesday.
According to Lorain fire officials, crews at the Larkmoor Elementary School playground were working to reseal pavement when they decided to burn weeds around the edges.
Unfortunately, the fire came in contact with some very flammable rubberized mulch.
Lorain firefighters responded but the playground was already torched.
The school was not damaged and there were no injuries.
