Authorities are working to identify remains that were discovered in Lorain County earlier this week.
The remains were found around 12:49 p.m. Wednesday by a person who was hunting deer in the area of West Road in New Russia Township, north of Parsons Road.
The Lorain County Sheriffs Office Detective Bureau and the Lorain County Coroner's Office started processing the scene Wednesday but the operation had to be suspended due to darkness.
The scene was fully processed Thursday and the skeletal remains were recovered.
At this time the gender, age, and race of the remains are not known. It is also unknown how long the remains have been there.
