A Lorain County school is investigating a "hit list" it received Thursday, the school said.
Firelands Local Schools Superintendent Mike Von Gunton reported that the hit list is believed to have been created by one or more elementary school students.
Based on the investigation thus far, we have no reason to believe this is a credible threat; however, I wanted to inform you of the facts as we know them presently. In addition, we have notified the Lorain County Sheriff's Department of this concern.
The district has no plans to cancel school due to this threat, Von Gunton told newsnet5.com.
