Police are looking for a vehicle involved in a burglary and attack at a former Lorain motel.

According to Lorain police, the manager of the former Parkview Motel on West Erie Avenue was beaten and bound during a burglary early Wednesday morning.

"It's a pretty cowardly act by a coward," said Lorain Police Captain Roger Watkins.

According to police, the man somehow got into her home, demand money while he violently beat her, restrained her, bound her, left her bound, took the money and stole her car.

The suspect then fled in her car, a 2006 gray Toyota Camry with Ohio license plates FIA5357.

The motel was closed down a few months ago but the 69-year-old woman still lived there. It is being used as a storage facility for the man who owns the buildings according to police.

"She had just collected rent for her boss," said Watkins. So there is a chance the burglar knew about the money, he added.

Police said the suspect could be carrying a weapon. Police consider the man armed and dangerous.

Anyone who sees the car is asked to call police at 440-204-2105.
