AVON, Ohio — A man accused of killing his parents in Virginia was arrested in Avon on Saturday, according to the Avon Police Department.

Robert Raff aka Robert James Ralph, 53, was arrested during a traffic stop on State Route 83 after a motorist reported seeing a car traveling with no lights, no license plates and a missing tire, according to Avon police.

Raff was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant from the Chesterfield County Police Department in Virginia.

On Feb. 2, Chesterfield County police responded to a Virginia home on Castle Hollow Road for a welfare check where they discovered the bodies of Raff's parents, Jan Ralph and Victoria Sophia Ralph, according to a news release from Chesterfield County police.

Raff remains in custody at the Lorain County Jail on two counts of murder while he awaits extradition back to Virginia, Avon police said.
