A man suspected of killing a woman in Lorain pleaded not guilty on Tuesday morning, court officials said.
Anthony Wayne Davis, 57, was arrested on Sunday in connection with the shooting death of his friend, 59-year-old Corrinna Charlton. He was charged with murder, police said.
Authorities were called to the 900 block of West 7th Court at around 5:15 p.m. Saturday for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found the victim with apparent gunshot wounds.
Charlton later died from her injuries.
Davis’ bond was set to $1 million on Tuesday, according to court officials.
He is scheduled to appear in Lorain Municipal Court at 1 p.m. on Jan. 27.
