The warnings associated with dating apps are apparent - be careful, because you're meeting up with a stranger. You never know who is really on the other end of that conversation.
One Tinder date turned into a robbery in the City of Amherst on Friday.
Officers were dispatched to a Speedway gas station, where the clerk said he had a victim of robbery in the store.
The 37-year-old victim told police he met a woman on Tinder, picked her up at her home in Lorain and intended to get a room at Days Inn on Leavitt Road.
While on his way out of the lobby at Days Inn, the victim was assaulted by two men in the parking lot outside the front lobby.
