Police took to social media to try and identify a man suspected of robbing Northwest Bank in Lorain around 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

On a Facebook post, Lorain County Crime Scene Identification asked for the public's help in identifying the man suspected of robbing the bank. Police described him as a black man in his 20s, with a medium build and standing about 5 feet 9 inches tall.

The man can be seen in surveillance photographs wearing a pink Nike sweatshirt and black pants. Police say he left the bank on foot. Photos show the man walking to a teller with his hood up, presenting them with a notebook and leaving with a stack of cash. Police did not say if the man was armed during the robbery.

Police are asking anyone with information about the man's identity to contact Detective Jacob Morris at 440-204-2105 or by email at jacob_morris@cityoflorain.org
