PD: Dealer arrested after Lorain Fentanyl death

Posted

A man with previous drug trafficking convictions is under arrest Wednesday on charges of involuntary manslaughter following the death of a Lorain man from a lethal dose of Fentynal, police stated.

Lorain Police stated officers were called to the 5800 block of Province Court on March 7 after Jacob Castro-White, 23, was reported unresponsive. Family members had attempted to revive White before he died, according to authorities.

A criminal investigation uncovered Russell "Red" Davis as White's source of Fentanyl, police stated. Davis had drug trafficking convictions in 1996 and 2003 and is under supervision by the Ohio Adult Parole Authority.

The Lorain County Coroner's office conducted toxicology examination that showed White had a lethal dose of Fetntynal in his system, police report.

Officers took Davis into custody on April 13. He was also charged with corrupting another with drugs.
