Federal authorities are joining the search into the disappearance of a Lafayette Township trustee who went missing last week.

The FBI confirmed to News 5 that were assisting in the search for Bryon Macon 72 hours after he was last seen with coworkers at a party.

On Sunday, relatives and friends of Macron, 45, gathered and prayed for answers at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Medina after his reported disappearance.

Macron was last seen at a social function with coworkers on Thursday night. On Friday, the Medina County Sheriff’s Department said he possibly went missing from the Lafayette Administration Building.

Investigators found his office in disarray and his car abandoned in a Beachside Boulevard parking lot in Chippewa Lake, about three miles from his office. They’ve deemed the disappearance suspicious in nature.

At a church service on Sunday, his brother said he’s leaving his faith with law enforcement.

“We’re leaving it all up to everybody that this is their job,” Darren Macron said. “This is what they know what to do. We’re just hoping and praying that everything works out."

Anyone with information should call the Medina County Sheriff’s Office at 330-725-6631.
