WADSWORTH, Ohio — Student journalists from Wadsworth High School hit the road and traveled to Iowa ahead of the Feb. 3 Democratic caucuses.
Members of The Bruin, Wadsworth High School’s student newspaper, traveled to Iowa to get hands-on experience in covering major political events. The students will try their hand at interviewing the political candidates as well as interviewing other journalists from national television, newspaper and other media outlets.
The 2020 Iowa Democratic caucuses will be the first nominating contest in the Democratic Party presidential primaries for the upcoming presidential election.
The Wadsworth students will channel their work into podcasts, articles and some of their work will even be published in the Akron Beacon Journal later in February.
