WADSWORTH, Ohio — A Wadsworth man who was charged Wednesday for OVI was arrested a second time for the same charge less than three hours later, according to police reports.

The 40-year-old driver is charged with two counts of OVI and one count of assured clear distance, according to police and court records.

Both incidents occurred on Dec. 18. The first arrest happened after police responded to a crash near College Street and Leatherman Road around 2:23 p.m.

The report states that following the crash investigation, the man was arrested for OVI. He was then taken to a nearby hospital.

The second incident happened just before 5 p.m.

Authorities say that officers responded to the 300 block of Westview Avenue after receiving reports of an impaired driver.

Officers located the man in his driveway while he was exiting his vehicle. According to the police report, the man had just been released from the hospital 30 minutes prior.

The man was arrested a second time and taken to the Medina County Jail.

He has an arraignment scheduled in Wadsworth Municipal Court for Dec. 30, according to court records.
