The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a 32-year-old man in Edinburg Township over the weekend.
Michael Ryan, 32 of Suffield Township, was driving eastbound on Tallmadge Road in a 2001 Dodge Ram around 6:15 p.m. Sunday when his truck was struck by a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado.
Police said the driver of the Silverado, 38-year-old Greg Garro of Rootstown Township, failed to stop a stop sign before hitting Ryan.
Both vehicles went off the road, where the Silverado struck a ditch and overturned.
Garro suffered minor injuries and was released at the scene.
Ryan was taken to Akron City Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Both drivers appeared to be wearing seatbelts. Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved.
The crash is under investigation.
