A 20-year-old Portage County man has been accused of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old family member.
Kent resident Jeffery Paul Textor was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 8 after the Portage County Sheriff's Office received information about the alleged assault. According to the sheriff's department, assault reportedly happened at a home in Atwater Township.
Textor was charged with two counts of rape of a child under the age of 13, both first degree felonies.
He is currently being held at the Portage County Jail. His bond is set at $1 million.
