A man with a possible link to a homicide in the city was arrested on Friday, according to the Portage County Sheriff.
Officials said Jabari D. McKee, 27, of Akron, was arrested on Friday after a traffic stop conducted by Kent police.
McKee was driving a vehicle belonging to Bryan Burns, a victim of the a homicide that occurred on April 20 on Smith Avenue in Rootstown, authorities reported.
Authorities said at the time of his arrest, it was learned that McKee had an arrest warrant out through Summit County for robbery.
McKee was charged in Portage County with three counts of receiving stolen property. He is in the Portage County Jail with no bond. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Monday at the Ravenna Courthouse.
