A man is in critical condition after officers found him lying in the road unconscious and bleeding from the head, Ravenna police reported.
On Sunday around 2:30 a.m., Ravenna police went near the back of the East Main Saloon for a report of a man lying in the roadway on Maple Lane.
Ravenna police said officers found 33-year-old Darren Difiore, of Ravenna, unconscious and bleeding from injuries to the head. He was taken by EMS to University Hospitals Portage Medical Center. He was then transferred to a hospital in Cleveland by medical helicopter.
Difiore's condition is listed as critical, according to Ravenna police.
Witnesses could not offer any information about Difiore's injuries to Ravenna police, but did say they found Difiore in the roadway after leaving the East Main Saloon at closing time.
