A 27-year-old man is in critical condition after he was hit while standing outside his vehicle in Streetsboro Thursday morning.
Officers were called to the 7900 block of Diagonal Road at around 6:20 a.m. for a two-vehicle crash involving a 2003 Jaguar and a 1998 Saturn.
The 27-year-old man was standing outside his Jaguar near the back bumper when he was hit by another car.
He was taken with significant injuries to University Hospitals Portage Medical Center by the Streetsboro Fire Department, police said. He was transferred to Summa Akron City Hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the Saturn, a 36-year-old man, was taken to University Hospitals Portage Medical Center with non-incapacitating injuries.
Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
Those involved are not identified until notification of family.
