RAVENNA, Ohio — The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks lodge in Ravenna was burglarized last month, and authorities are asking anyone with information to give them a call.

The break in happened Feb. 26 around 1 a.m. at the Elks Lodge on N. Freedom Street, authorities said.

When officers arrived, they found a screen from a back window on the ground, and the window was unlocked. Officers searched the building but didn’t find anyone inside, authorities said.

Authorities said money from the cash registers and other areas was pilfered.

Police are reviewing security camera footage of the incident. Police said they are looking for a heavy-set white man who was wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored cargo pants, black Nike shoes with white laces, gardening gloves and possibly a mask.

No photos or video have been provided. Police haven’t released any additional information.

Witnesses or anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the Ravenna Police Department Detective Bureau at 330-296-6486.
