RAVENNA, Ohio — An 18-year-old Ravenna man turned himself in to Cleveland police on Sunday after authorities issued a warrant for his arrest in connection to a shooting in Ravenna.

Aaron Harvey, 18, turned himself into Cleveland police at their 1st District Division just after 3 p.m. Sunday. He was taken and booked into the Portage County Justice Center.

He was wanted for felonious assault after he allegedly shot an 18-year-old in the leg on Saturday, police say.

Police were called to the 200 block of Grant Street around 7:30 p.m. for a shooting.

They found an 18-year-old with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was transported by ambulance to Portage UH Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said their initial investigation revealed an argument took place between the man and Harvey.

Harvey attempted to take the victims cell phone and a physical fight broke out. He then shot the 18-year-old in the leg, according to police.
