Thieves attempted to steal a bank ATM in Portage County using construction equipment.
The attempted theft happened early Wednesday morning at Portage Community Bank on Tallmadge Road in Rootstown.
Police found the skid steer in the woods, abandoned and the ATM lying on the ground nearby.
It is unknown if any arrests have been made.
Police did not say if any cash was missing from the ATM.
