RICHLAND COUNTY, Ohio — Two teens who ran away from Abraxas treatment facility in Richland County over the weekend allegedly stole a garbage truck after fleeing, according to Captain Donald Zehner of the Richland County Sheriff’s Office.

The two teens, ages 16 and 14, ran away Saturday night from the treatment facility located at 2775 Ohio 39 West.

According to the report, deputies from the sheriff’s office responded to the 2100 block of Stiving Road in Richland County in reference to a stolen Rumpke garbage truck worth $60,000.

It was later recovered in Licking County, according to the sheriff’s report.

Both teens, a 16-year-old from Cambridge and a 14-year-old from Chillicothe, were later found in Licking County. One of the teens was returned to Abraxas, while the other teen, not specified in the report, returned to his residential county.

Zehner said possible charges are pending.
