Dog the Bounty Hunter said he is joining the manhunt for wanted fugitive Shawn Christy, according to the Mansfield Journal.
Duane Chapman, also known as Dog the Bounty Hunter, told the journal that he received a call from his home in Hawaii by a friend of the Christy family.
He told the paper that Christy is not a career criminal, so he believes there is a chance he can get him to surrender.
Hundreds of tips have come into the Mansfield Ohio State Highway Patrol post, the command central for the search for wanted fugitive Shawn Christy.
Christy has been on the run since early summer after police said he made threats against law enforcement and elected officials in Pennsylvania. He is also accused of threatening President Trump.
Chapman said he plans to arrive in Mansfield on Sept. 27, according to the journal.
