MANSFIELD, Ohio — The Madison Local School District's superintendent says the principal of Madison Comprehensive High School was assaulted by a student Monday morning.
According to the superintendent, the principal was managing a student behavior issue in a classroom, when a student became combative and violent and assaulted the principal.
"Mr. Conway conducted himself in a very professional manner in spite of the circumstances," Superintendent Rob Peterson said.
Peterson did not say if the student was arrested.
