RICHLAND COUNTY, Ohio — The Humane Society of Richland County is looking for a home for a dog that came to the shelter severely neglected and underweight last month.

Letty, a 1-and-a-half-year-old English bull mastiff, was brought in to the Humane Society of Richland County from the Richland County Dog Warden.

When Letty was brought to the shelter she only weighed 74 pounds— so malnourished her ribs and spine were visible through her skin.

After a month at the shelter, Letty has already gained 30 pounds and has gotten much-needed healthy nourishment.

Due to the neglect, Letty has a timid and fragile personality and will need a calm and patient home.

The Humane Society of Richland County said that Letty will be available for adoption soon, but the shelter is only allowing visits with her by appointment.

Those interested in meeting Letty can call the shelter’s operations manager Toni at 419-774-4795.
