The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a three-car fatal crash that happened Wednesday afternoon in Madison Township in Richland County.
Earl A. Daniel, 41, of Mansfield, died as result of the crash, troopers said.
According to the highway patrol, Daniel was driving a yellow 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt south on Trimble Road near State Route 39 when the crash occurred.
Authorities said the Cobalt struck a blue 2008 Pontiac G6 that was heading north and turning left at the intersection. The Cobalt then struck a red 2000 Chevrolet Blazer, which overturned.
The 69-year-old driver of the Chevrolet Blazer was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, troopers said. The 23-year-old driver of the Pontiac G6 was not injured in the crash.
Authorities are still investigating the specific cause of the crash. Drugs and alcohol are not suspected as a factor in the incident.
