Troopers in Richland County seized 110 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop July 13.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers say the marijuana is worth about $302,500.

Troopers stopped a 2009 Nissan Altima for a window tint violation on Interstate 71 when they found the driver was under a license suspension and the passenger was unlicensed.

Because of the license suspension, the vehicle was towed. While authorities were taking inventory of the car, they found the marijuana.

Both the driver, Ltanya Guess, 34, of Cincinnati, and the passenger, Don Lawrence, 51, of Cleveland, were arrested and charged with possession and trafficking in marijuana. Guess was also charged with driving under suspension and given a window tint violation.

Each could face up to 16 years in prison and up to a $30,000 fine if convicted.
