NAVARRE, Ohio — A local non-profit dedicated to honoring veterans and promoting patriotism set up a temporary installation of 1,000 American flags at a Stark County park Sunday.
Operation Flags of Freedom began installing 1,000 American flags Sunday morning at Richville Community Park in Navarre.
While it’s hard to tell from ground level, an aerial view of the display shows the flags spell out “Ohio.”
Parks remain open during the Stay at Home order issued by Gov. Mike DeWine as long as social distance requirements are being met, so you can visit the display, which will have lights for nighttime viewing as well.
Operation Flags of Freedom expects the display to be up for several weeks.
Richville Community Park is located at 6655 Navarre Rd.
