JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A grief-stricken Jackson township family is offering a $1,500 reward for the return of two Bernese mountain dogs who ran away from their home last week.

The two dogs are 10-month old brothers and have been missing since March 8 from the Strausser and Lake O Springs area.

According to CantonRep.com, the dogs belong to Hyer Middle School teacher Lorri Beadling and her husband.

The morning that they went missing, Beadling’s husband let one of the dogs outside around 4 a.m., but it ran off. When he went back to the house to get his wife, the second dog bolted past him and followed the first.

The Beadlings told CantonRep.com that they thought the two animals might have gone after a deer.

So far, the owners haven’t had any luck finding the animals. They have been in touch with local dog pounds and animal rescues as well as humane societies and veterinarian offices, but come across any leads, CantonRep.com stated.

Anyone with information on the dog's location is asked to call police at 330-834-3960 or the Beadlings at 330-354-0994.
