The Stark County Coroner's Office has positively identified the remains found buried behind Massillon home earlier this month.
The remains belong to Nicholas Stein, a man who was reported missing last year.
His remains were found inside a plastic tote that had been buried behind a home on 8th Street SW.
Investigators have charged 26-year-old Carl A. Spencer with his murder.
Spencer is currently being held in lieu of a $5 million bond in Stark County Jail.
A court date has not been set.
