Firefighters battled a mulch fire in Jackson Township overnight and continued to put out the flames Friday morning.
The fire broke out at the landscape supply company Earth N' Wood Products, sending a large pile of mulch and wood up in flames.
The fire began Thursday around 7 p.m. and was still going strong early Friday morning with flames starting back up every few minutes. Nearly 12 hours later, crews left the fire at around 6:45 a.m.
The Jackson Township fire chief said crews used 63,000 gallons of water to put out the flames.
Flames spread across three acres and rose 30 feet high.
Although there are no longer crews at the scene, the piles continued to smoke as the owner of the property excavated.
There were no injuries in the fire.
